Research interests

As an applied mathematician I have a variety of research interests spanning from the theoretical aspects of the asymptotic theory of stochastic differential equations, to numerical solution of stochastic processes as well as applications of homogenization theory and stochastic modeling to mathematical biology. A common theme of my research is the use of analytic techniques combined with numerical computations in order to tackle the problem in question.

Research interests:

Theory and applications of multiscale SDEs (averaging/homogenization).
Numerical methods and backward error analysis of SDEs.
Stochastic Simulation of chemical kinetics and reaction diffusion equations
Mathematical modelling of plants (especially of processes in the rhizosphere)
