Functional and genetic heterogeneity in the embryonic heart

The heart is the first organ to start to function during mammalian embryogenesis. This talk will cover recent work in the Srinivas group aiming to understanding how contractile activity in the heart is triggered and how different cardiac cell types arise, using light sheet microscopy and single cell sequencing.
