Event details

A display of communal artwork by artist and scientist Halina Bainbridge (nee Mikolajek) with many narratives from the biological world!

Collaborating with local artists Halina Bainbridge (embroidery) and Andrew Johnston (stained glass), Jonathan West has helped to put together an exhibition illustrating the nature of cells, molecules and even microfluidics that are at the centre of biomedical research at the University of Southampton.

The exhibition combines Halina Bainbridge’s beautiful collection called “Engaging with Proteins” along with “LightTouch”, an interpretation by both artists. It’s hosted at the Harbour Lights cinema in Southampton, and open 2nd – 31st December, with a special opening night on the 9th December.

The proteins project was supported and funded by the University of Southampton Public Engagement with Research Unit.
