The book considers the various legal relationships which may exist between network and service providers and also the emerging 'over the top' services such as voice over the internet (VOIP). It also analyses contractual relationships between providers and consumers and consumer protection issues in the content of universal service and privacy protection.

ILAWS Director Professor Steve Saxby says: “Partner Jan Willem van den Bos hosted an excellent discussion about current issues in telecoms regulation with the authors. We were also joined by David Clarkson of OFCOM and Neil Brown of Vodafone who is about to become the first ever graduate of the LLM in IT & Telecoms Law taught by distance learning by Ian and David at Southampton.”
