Published: 13 November 2017

On 9 November 2017 Dr Eleonora Rosati (Associate Professor in Intellectual Property Law) delivered a talk on recent EU copyright judgments and current policy discussion for Italian specialist intellectual property judges. Eleonora's presentation was part of a training course organised in Florence by the Scuola Superiore della Magistratura, which is the organisation with exclusive competence in Italy for judges' training and education.

Among other things, Eleonora discussed with Italian judges the implications of recent decisions of the Court of Justice of the European Union on linking and the right of communication to the public, user freedoms over the internet (including cloud-based video recording and streaming of content), as well as the impact of such case law on Italian copyright.
