Insurance Law Research Group

Research

Insurance law research is multifaceted and diverse

Research on Chinese insurance law is a lesson in comparative law. Research on flood insurance considers the social function of insurance and its role in disaster prevention - and the limits of that role. Research into marine insurance provides an understanding of modern phenomena such as world trade, piracy and seafarers' rights, and also lessons into the roots and origins of insurance law.

Flood insurance

Flood insurance is a major topic and continues to be a major research area.

Publications

Our insurance law academics produce publications that are at the forefront of Insurance research.

Consumer insurance

One of our projects is to provide unbiased general information on consumer insurance law - a bewildering maze of historical legacies and recent developments.
