International Union of Marine Insurance Conference - Speech by IML member

The Institute of Maritime Law have been carving out a niche as experts in the growing field of autonomous technology.
At the 2016 conference of the International Union of Marine Insurance in Genoa, Robert Veal a Senior Research Assistant in our Institute spoke about the challenges this emerging technology presents.
At his speech on 20th September Robert posed many questions on this subject to the audience and also cited series of important conventions and laws against which the proposed operation of unmanned vessels would be tested
