New Visiting Fellow

The Institute of Maritime Law is pleased to announce that Dr. Iliana Christodoulou-Varotsi has been appointed a Visiting Fellow. Iliana is a highly regarded legal consultant and shipping industry trainer in Maritime and European Union law policies.

The Director of the Institute, Dr Alexandros Ntovas, commented on the occasion that:

“Iliana is an internationally renowned figure in maritime law and shipping, who combines outstandingly the academic excellence with a commercial perception in the important filed of executive training and professional development. Moreover, I do share with her the commitment to the protection and safeguarding of the most important asset in shipping, which is no other than the human element. I am therefore delighted to have Iliana on board the Institute of Maritime Law, and I thank the University of Southampton, Faculty and School to have endorsed her Visiting Fellowship.”
