One Science: Life at the Interface - Call for Frontiers Innovators
One Science: Life at the Interface’ - will explore new opportunities for convergence between the health, life, engineering and physical sciences that underpin biomedical research.
We hope this meeting will spark new thinking and allow the Wellcome Trust to explore how we and others can best support research at the interface, by examining which structures and mechanisms are conducive to interdisciplinary research and by identifying promising opportunities for collaboration.
To bring to bear fresh perspectives on the subject the Wellcome Trust is inviting applications from ambitious junior researchers looking to perform interdisciplinary research, to participate in this meeting and become ‘One Science’ Frontiers Innovators. Applications are welcome from those already working at this interface or whose research could benefit from collaboration.
Up to ten people will be selected to act as Frontiers Innovators, and will be offered travel and accommodation to participate in this meeting, network with key leaders in the field and share and discuss ideas for convergence in biomedical research.

2. A video summary no longer than 3 minutes, detailing how you think interdisciplinary research can be used to achieve improvements in health, outlining a fundamental biological/health question that could be addressed, and the structures necessary to support this research. You can either upload your video to the web and send us the link, or submit directly using a large data transfer site such as WeTransfer .
Alternatively you can submit your idea as a word document or PDF, no longer than one side of A4 to the email address above.
The deadline for applications is Friday 12 June 2015 17:00.
