During 2009/10 over 900 people consented to extract their DNA in a specially-designed laboratory, resulting in miniature ‘portraits' on microscopic slides. This exhibition illustrates interdisciplinary work at the interface between academia and culture by translating creativity and process-awareness through close collaboration. The work has been widely disseminated across the education sectors through art: science workshops in schools for Years 5-11.

The exhibition provides an opportunity for the University of Southampton community to take part in this interactive workshop and reflect on some big questions such as biological privacy, fear and personal identity.

The exhibition will be on display and available for interactivity from Monday, January 31 to Friday, February 4, 2011.

Daily from 10am to 3pm.

Pauline Pratt will be in attendance to answer any questions.

This exhibition is part of Multidisciplinary Research Week which is happening here at the University of Southampton from Monday, January 31 to Friday, February 4, 2011.
