Work Futures Research Centre seminar on EU funding for research:
The EU is an increasingly important source of research funding and the WFRC is keen to help its members secure more funding from the EU. We would like to give you the opportunity to attend a workshop designed to help us learn about ways to increase our chances of accessing this source of research income.
The meeting will include presentations from Professor Ulrike Meinhof and Dr Sue Edwards (R&IS EU Office). Professor Meinhof, who has been very successful at obtaining EU funding, will provide a perspective from the point of view of a researcher and Dr Edwards will present a perspective from R&IS focusing on how staff can support applicants. There will be plenty of time for discussion.
We're delighted that Professor Judith Petts , Dean of the Faculty of Social and Human Sciences, has agreed to come and open the meeting and support this event.
It would be helpful for catering purposes if you could RSVP to Petrina Butler by Friday 14 October. We look forward to seeing you for what should be a very interesting and worthwhile event.
