The Communication and Social Participation: Collaborative Technologies for Interaction And Learning (COSPATIAL) project is a multi-disciplinary project funded by the European Commission to develop innovative technologies to support the learning and social skills for children on the autism spectrum. This presentation will outline how Collaborative Virtual Environments (CVEs) have been developed to support collaboration and social conversation skills; how we attempted to evaluate the effectiveness of the technology; and what we found out in the process.
