Event details
An Inaugral Lecture by Professor Paul Roderick
Chronic Kidney Disease (CKD) is common and it increases the risk of both cardiovascular disease and endstage kidney failure requiring dialysis or a kidney transplant. Professor Roderick will discuss research which has aimed to understand how we can prevent and manage CKD, and provide equitable and effective care for patients who develop kidney failure.
He will also explore some of his early public health research experiences of current relevance such as homelessness, and end with some ongoing research such as tackling the problem of alcohol misuse.
