Event details

Dr Deborah Mackay from Human Genetics in the Wessex Regional Genetics Laboratory at Salisbury will lead the discussion of her planned MRC proposal entitled 'Exploiting genomic and epigenomic findings to find new mechanisms of inborn disease'

I'm pleased to say we will be commencing our Biomedical Science Forums for a further year shortly. Although we normally meet on the last Friday of the month, our first scheduled session will be Friday October 4th at 4pm in B85 (Life Sciences) in room 2211.

Remember, these sessions are to support the preparation of grant applications. We begin with a short description of the plan of the application by Deborah (no slides, just a whiteboard) followed by informal  open discussion over an hour covering content, direction and structure, whatever, all with refreshments. From past experience, the feedback and ideas generated in these sessions lead to a real increase in success rate.  If you would like to improve your success rate in grants and lead a future Biomed Sci Forum session, please get in touch with me.
