You are invited to a symposium to debate the choice for older people in the UK between food and fuel
Dr Aravinda Meera Guntupalli and Dr Athina Vlachantoni, winners of our April 2013 Policy Commission Competition will be sharing their research into food and fuel poverty at their showcase event to be held at the home of the European Parliament from 14:30 - 16:30 on Thursday 20 February 2014.
Join us to debate the on-going issue of Food and Fuel Poverty among Older People in the UK, with a view to contributing to the policy relevant debate on the choice faced by vulnerable older persons between heating their homes and eating regular and nutritious meals. This event is a joint collaboration between the University of Southampton's Public Policy Network, the Centre for Research on Ageing, the ESRC Centre for Population Change, the USRG on Ageing and Lifelong Health, the USRG on Population Health and the Biomedical Research Centre in Nutrition and Lifestyle.
