Event details

Biomedical Science Forum

It will be led by Hannah Siddell, a new lecturer in Biological Sciences. Hannah will present a grant plan for 'Defining the role of Schwann cell plasticity in the emergence and transmission of a contagious cancer'

Hannah is thinking this as a BBSRC new investigator submission but also considering a Leverhulme Trust application.

Please come along to discuss this area and help Hannah get the best design and content. Discussing your grant ideas fully with your colleagues at an early stage will improve your chances of success.

We now plan to hold these Biomed Sci Forums on any Friday afternoon rather than just monthly. If anyone is planning a grant and would like to lead a Forum session please get in touch with me. The format is a 10-15 min explanation of the grant area (white board, no PPs) followed by informal discussion to cover any aspect of the science, aims, collaborations, design, angle to run with, whatever; 1 hour duration.
