Potential topics:

  • Biofilms, eg bringing expertise in tribology and surface chemistry into clinical settings to test technology development for biofilm mitigation for application in catheters/stents, etc.
  • Nutrition, eg bringing physical surface scientists into the Faculty of Medicine’s research on how nutritional status may support the bacterium in mutating towards AMR

This is an opportunity to meet colleagues from other faculties and widen your networks of potential collaborator on future funding bids. If you are not a member of NAMRIP but would like to attend, please email Frances Clarke (fmc@soton.ac.uk) to become a member.
