M-Mark launch event
We’d like to invite you to join us at the University of Southampton to celebrate the launch of the NIHR-funded research project: Mechanical Muscle Activity with Real-time Kinematics (M-MARK). With almost £1m of health research funding through the NIHR Invention for Innovation (i4i) Programme, we will develop a device which uses a novel combination of movement and muscle sensor technologies to improve arm recovery following stroke and examine the feasibility of its use in the NHS.
We will be joined by Professor Ian Craddock, Director of the EPSRC-IRC Sensor Platform for HEalthcare in a Residential Environment (SPHERE) project, as well as patient and NIHR representatives and Professor Sir Christopher Snowden, Vice Chancellor of The University of Southampton. We hope that you will be able to come and hear more about the M-MARK project, and to join-in the discussions over wine and canapés.
Based in the Faculty of Health Sciences, the University of Southampton is working in collaboration with Imperial College London and North Bristol NHS Trust, in partnership with Portsmouth Hospital Trust, and with industry partners Maddison Ltd and Tactiq Ltd.
