The consideration of what publishing actual means today remains a relevant question for any creative practitioner.

Experimental Publishing

Over the past few years we have seen a huge rise in artists and designers exploring self-publishing, print on-demand services and social media, from post-digital to post broadcasting, and the act of making things public (publishing) has become a vibrant mix of old and new technologies. This short course examines some of these technologies from a multidisciplinary perspective and allows students to create their own post digital artist book which will be exhibited at the Winchester Campus at the end of the course.

Prerequisite for this topic: Participants should already be engaged in some form of creative practice, visual arts, graphic design, photography or illustration.

The academic organising this topic is Danny Aldred, Senior Teaching Fellow in Graphic Arts at Winchester School of Art.
