Postdoctoral Research Fellow position available at the University of Nottingham's Centre for Additive Manufacturing.

As part of the Intelligent Structures for Low Noise Environments research programme, there is currently an open post-doctoral Research Fellow position at the University of Nottingham's Centre for Additive Manufacturing.

The appointed Research Fellow will help to develop new methods and understanding of how to deliver additively manufactured products for acoustic devices and energy harvesting. At the end of the project, we will have delivered acoustic demonstrators that rely on 3D printed electronics and materials, requiring the development of multi-material, multi-functional approaches to the deposition of material. Working with both the industrial partners, BAE Systems and Lloyds Register, and the team at the ISVR, this work will demonstrate the effectiveness of the technology for the realisation of both sensing devices and energy harvesting systems.

The application process is open until 29th June 2020 for the 36 month position. Candidates should ideally have (or shortly be due to obtain) a PhD in Electronic Engineering, Mechanical Engineering, Materials Science, Physics or other relevant engineering or science subject.

Informal enquiries may be addressed to Prof Chris Tuck, christopher.tuck@nottingham.ac.uk. Please note that applications sent directly to this email address will not be accepted.
