ISLNE Researcher Passes PhD Viva

Joe Tan, a researcher within the Intelligent Structures for Low Noise Environments team, has passed his PhD viva.

Joe successfully defended his PhD thesis entitled 'Active Acoustic Metamaterials for High Performance Noise Control' on the 7th January 2022. The external examiner was Dr Simon Pope from the University of Sheffield and the internal examiner was Prof Phil Joseph, from the Institute of Sound and Vibration Research (ISVR). Joe's PhD was supported by an iCASE PhD studentship provided by EPSRC and BAE Systems and was supervised by Dr Jordan Cheer and Prof Steve Daley who are both members of the ISVR.
