The Lyceum Linux Teaching Cluster

The Lyceum service runs on University Major High Performance Computing (HPC) facility called Iridis.

This service allows undergraduate and MSc student to access one of the largest clusters in UK academia, use research grade hardware and numerous software packages.

Lyceum is aimed at undergraduate and MSc student projects, which require substantially greater computational power or memory than is available on individual PCs.  Lyceum users have access to the same hardware and software as researchers, but with tighter use limits and a higher priority queue.

Project/Course tutors who would like their students to have access to Lyceum should fill out a Lyceum Account Application Form.

Individual students should get their tutor to submit a request to Serviceline on their behalf.
