The Right Honourable Lord Bingham of Cornhill KG FKC, the Senior Lord of Appeal in Ordinary in the House of Lords, was on campus on 17th January 2008 to deliver the annual Hansard Lecture. Lord Bingham’s lecture, 'Governments and judges: friends or enemies?', reflected upon how the relationship between the executive and judiciary had evolved through the years, and in particular in the post Human Rights Act era.
