The seminar discusses central themes arising from Professor Halpin’s recently launched co-edited volume, Theorising the Global Legal Order, A. Halpin and V. Roeben (ed.), Oxford: Hart Publishing, 2009.
Professor Halpin's research interests lie broadly within legal theory, with particular interests in rights, legal reasoning, law and the philosophy of language, criminal law, and general/global jurisprudence. His books include, Definition in the Criminal Law Oxford: Hart Publishing, 2004 and Reasoning with Law, Oxford: Hart Publishing, 2001.
