25 years as Editor of CLSR - Europe's leading technology law journal
Professor Steve Saxby celebrates 25 years this month as Editor of The Computer Law and Security Review which is now Europe's leading technology law journal. Founded by Steve with the formation of his own publishing company back in 1985 the journal has gone from strength to strength and is now published by Elsevier - the world leading publisher of scientific, technical and medical information products and services and accessible to some 11 million users around the world via online access to Sciencedirect.com.

BA (Kent) 1972; Cert Ed (Lond) 1977; MBCS 1992; PhD (Soton) 1996. Solicitor, 1976.
Since 1977 Professor Saxby has pioneered the introduction of Information Technology Law into the LLB and LLM curriculum at Southampton. In 1981 he introduced the first such course in the UK to feature in the undergraduate curriculum. This course is now in its 25th year at Southampton. In 1991 he introduced the first postgraduate course to examine European Union legal policy towards regulation of information technology and he now teaches Internet Law at LLM covering both public and private law issues. This course will also be available to students from Electronics and Computer Science
He will also be joining Professor Ian Lloyd in presenting a new LLM in Information Technology and Telecommunications Law by distance learning at University of Southampton with effect from September 2010. Further information can be found at:
