LLM Students to Participate in the 12th International Maritime Law Arbitration Moot 2011 in Singapore

Published: 11 May 2011

Building on the participation of the first LLM team in the IMLAM moot last year, Southampton LLMs are this year again participating in the 12th annual moot, the oral rounds of which will take place in July in Singapore.

The LLMs will be represented in the oral rounds by Anne-Linn Forbord, Katryn Law, Deji Sasegbon and Tobi Seriki. They have been very ably coached by a wider group of LLM students Graham Caldwell, Serhan Handani, Nicole Lavalas, Alexandra Vella and Viktor Weber. Tughan Thuraisingam who represented the University in last year's moot gave advice on the drafting of the Memoranda and PhD student Assad Khan will help prepare the students for the oral round. The School wishes them the best of luck in the competition and more importantly a lot of fun and an interesting experience!

The students have been kindly assisted with literature by Lloyd's List Law and have been generously offered internships by the well known Singapore maritime law firm JTJB, which they will undertake after the competition in July
