Law students examine today's controversial legal issues

Published: 7 September 2012

The 2012 edition of the Southampton Student Law Review has been published; a pdf can be downloaded here.

Edited by postgraduates Emma Nottingham and Ross W Martin, with the aid of an editorial board and support from academic Dr Oren Ben-Dor, the volume reflects the diversity of scholarship and research currently underway at the Southampton Law School.

Nine articles cover a wide spectrum of legal matters including analyses of the cross-border broadcasting of sport, child maintenance, employment law, personal injury claims and illegal fishing; there are also three undergraduate dissertations.

Head of the Southampton Law School, Professor Hazel Biggs says: "This is the perfect forum for collaboration between postgraduate and undergraduate students who are engaged in research and also allows for the dissemination of their ideas and expertise to an audience far beyond the confines of the Southampton Law School."
