ILAWS student runs seminar for communications regulators

ILAWS student Neil Brown travelled to Washington DC to deliver an intensive two day training program to an audience of 25 communications regulators and their legal advisors, representing 17 countries.
Neil, who has recently completed an LLM in IT and Telecoms Law by distance learning and will start a PhD with ILAWS in September, lectured on policy and law of the European communications regulatory framework, concluding with a cutting-edge session on how regulators might approach one of their major modern day challenges: Skype, FaceTime and other over the top communications services.
The seminar was provided by the United Kingdom’s Telecommunications Academy, as part of its ongoing relationship with the United States Telecommunications Training Institute.
