The ability to present is an increasingly important skill to master and often features as part of the graduate job selection process. With this in mind, the Law School worked with Ian Graham, Law School Alumnus and partner at the international Law firm Trowers & Hamlin to offer twenty students in the Law School the opportunity to receive individual coaching on their presentation skills.

Students prepared their presentations and were filmed so that Ian could provide feedback making use of the footage to illustrate his points. Students then took their videos and feedback away to keep as a valuable resource.

The presentation coaching skills workshop was very helpful and provided me with valuable feedback on how to improve my presentation skills.. Having the chance to gain constructive feedback, as well as seeing at how to apply it to my presentation skills gave me a much better understanding of how to improve rather than just feedback alone.

An ability to present well is a differentiator when it comes both to getting a job and to progressing, not just in the legal world, but across many sectors. It’s something I’m passionate about and I‘m delighted the students that attended found the training worthwhile.
