Last night the Law School held its annual Alumni reception in London, this year for the first time at the prestigious Supreme Court in London.

Over 80 alumni from every decade since the School commenced teaching joined Law School academic and support staff to reconnect, rekindle memories and network.

Head of School, Professor Brenda Hannigan kicked off the evening with a welcome speech and guests were taken on exclusive tours of the Supreme Court. The event was a great chance for our staff to catch up with previous students and for alumni new and old to meet. There were many positive conversations about how our alumni community can continue to support the School and current students through our academic and personal, legal and employability skills programmes, a popular feature for both Undergraduate and Postgraduate programmes.

"We had an absolutely wonderful alumni evening at the Supreme Court yesterday. I had a lovely chat with a 1979 alumnus about the magnetic powers of School legends Alec Samuels, Gabi Ganz, David Jackson and Albie Sachs and it was fantastic to meet up with many more recent alumni - I didn't get a chance to speak to everyone but I hope you enjoyed it as much as I did" – Dr Johanna Hjalmarsson, Alumni Co-ordinator and Informa Associate Professor in Maritime and Commercial Law
