After 33 years as Editor, Emeritus Professor Steve Saxby is celebrating not only the 200th edition of his journal – Computer Law and Security Review (Elsevier ISSN 0267-3649) but also its No. 1 spot in the world rankings for technology law journals in Google Scholar.

Steve founded the publication in 1985 and has remained sole editor ever since, producing 6 issues a year throughout this period. CLSR is unique in being the only technology law journal in the world to be awarded both an impact factor as well as entry into the Social Sciences Citation Index® in Web of Science Core Collection, maintained by Clarivate Analytics (formerly Thomson Reuters). This index is recognised by academic institutions as the world’s leading citation database for scholarly literature, in every field, including law.

Steve is due to stand down as Editor at the end of the year handing over to Professor Sophie Stalla-Bourdillon of Southampton Law School (view Sophie's staff profile below). A dinner will be held in Steve’s honour in London in October, hosted by his publisher Elsevier, to celebrate his outstanding achievement in building CLSR into its premier position today as the leader in its field.
