A richly varied programme of research seminars and lectures from Southampton Law School’s 5 research centres highlights the breadth of high quality research being undertaken at Southampton Law School.

As well as featuring Law School academics, the programme includes speakers from institutions across the UK and also from the USA. Highlights include the inaugural lecture of the newly launched Stefan Cross Centre for Women, Equality and Law.  Taking place on 15 November 2018, the lecture will be presented by Stefan Cross QC who is recognized as one of the UK’s leading employment lawyers.  Stefan Cross’ pioneering equal pay litigation has changed the legal landscape and secured compensation for thousands of women across Britain who had been paid less than men in equivalent roles.

On 1 May 2019, the Centre for Law, Policy and Society (CLPS) will welcome Baroness Hale, President of the Supreme Court, who will present the CLPS annual lecture.

The research seminars and lectures are open to all, and Law School students are particularly encouraged to take these opportunities to broaden their intellectual horizons and participate actively in the Schools thriving research community.
