Katie Hunt presents paper at annual Flashpoints conference

Published: 3 January 2019

In December, Katie Hunt presented her paper 'What are the barriers to equal access to pastoral care for non-religious prisoners?' at the ‘Law, Human Rights and Religion – Flashpoints 2018’ conference organised by Nottingham Trent University.

Flashpoints is an annual conference exploring themes that ignite debate in the field of law, human rights and religion. In the presentation, Katie shared for the first time the preliminary findings from her empirical research on the support available for people with non-religious beliefs in English prisons, and the practical obstacles and moral objections that make it less accessible than traditional chaplaincy services.
