Second year LLB student, Ann Etse, has clinched first prize in a competition to win two weeks work experience in London and Madrid with international law firm DAC Beachcroft. The competition was organised by a social mobility network called the Afro Caribbean Insurance Network (ACIN). Ann won the competition by writing the top essay on the topic of ‘innovative ways of ensuring diverse, inclusive and flexible workplace environment while maintaining high productivity.’

Ann said “I’m looking forward to gaining insight into international commercial law and how things work in reality, and work experience will put me in good stead to secure vacation schemes and training contracts in the future.  The opportunity to go to Madrid was also particularly enticing.”

“I believe studying law will give me a great foundation for a future career in law, and ultimately I would like to become a commercial lawyer. So far during my studies, I have enjoyed seeing how the law works in certain situations especially through answering problem questions. So far, I’ve joined the Law Society, ACS and the Ghanaian Society. I have met some really great people”.
