29th Donald O'May Lecture in Maritime Law

The 2011 O'May Lecture will take place on Wednesday 9th November at the Merchant Taylor's Hall, Threadneedle Street, London EC2.

The lecture, entitled 'Arbitration in the Twenty First century: Time for reforms?' will be delivered by Mr V.V. Veeder QC. The evening will be chaired by the Hon Mr Justice Eder and the Vote of Thanks will given by Mr Colin de la Rue, Partner, Ince & Co.

From the first lecture in 1983, the aim of this series has been to create bridges between what the late Michael Summerskill in the first lecture identified as the three branches of maritime law: the law (practitioners and judges), the market and academia.
Most of the Donald O'May Lectures have subsequently been published, usually in Lloyd's Maritime and Commercial Law Quarterly. The 2010 lecture is to be published in the November 2011 L.M.C.L.Q.
