Southampton Law School is a fantastic place for Canadian students to study law. We offer stunning grounds and a close-knit community – and the University of Southampton is in the top 100 of universities globally. In addition, one of our modules now leads to an NCA exam exemption, and we can offer a £1,000 per year scholarship for eligible Canadian students.
Students commencing their LLB studies at Southampton in the 2016/17 academic year will be exempt from the NCA Business Organisations exam.
The NCA has confirmed (as of May 2016) that the University of Southampton’s Year 2 Equity and Trusts module covers this content in satisfactory detail, granting our students an exam exemption. This is provided that the mark achieved in this module meets the NCA academic performance criteria – please check directly with the NCA for further information about this.
Do note that things can change over time, so it’s a good idea to keep up to date with the NCA’s latest requirements.
Canadian applicants enrolling in the academic year 2016/17 may be eligible for our Prestige Scholarship.
If you meet or exceed the terms of your offer (or have received an unconditional offer) and make Southampton Law School your 'firm' choice within 30 days of receiving all of your UCAS offers, you will automatically be eligible for the £1,000 Prestige Scholarship payable for each year of your LLB programme.
