Richard joined the Learn With US transition team in 2014, having worked previously as a Teaching Fellow in Politics. He has a PhD in Political Philosophy and a background in teaching and research focused on economic inequality and social justice. He offers taster lectures on these subjects and is happy to take questions from students writing EPQs in related areas.

Research interests

Richard's research interests include:

  • Economic inequality
  • Distributive justice
  • Ethics and global ethics
  • Environmental politics
  • European politics
  • Research methods and philosophy of science

 

Richard was previously a secondary teacher of citizenship and religious education, and has lectured and taught on the following university modules:

  • Contemporary Theories of Justice
  • Issues in Contemporary Politics 
  • Contemporary Theories of Justice 
  • Democracy and the Modern State
