Hartley Library, Level 3 Refurbishment, 12th September to 17th October

University of Southampton investment is enhancing the University Library study and learning environment. A refurbishment Project is running in the Hartley Library and will transform the front area of Level 3, works are scheduled to last 5 weeks.

At completion, the Project will:

• Provide 71 additional study spaces for independent learning - concentrated individual study through to small group working
• Deploy desktop power supply for laptops and Wi-Fi with large-screen enabled group study spaces
• Offer a range of furniture and space design to support individual preferences for study and work
• Present a flexible layout of furniture and study space to enable further, phased changes
• Include a review and study of the characteristics and furniture requirements for different modes of study to inform refurbishment of other Library spaces

During the time of the Project there will be periods of noisy work on Level 3 and areas in close vicinity.  We apologise for disruption to your quiet study.  Please ask Library staff if you have any specific questions or require guidance to quieter areas of the Library for your work.  Many thanks for your patience.
