Skills for Study (was Skills4Study Campus)

Published: 16 September 2019

The online resource Skills4Study Campus has been re-launched as Skills for Study by the publishers Macmillan. The branding has changed, but the content remains the same.

All references to Skills4Study Campus on the Library website have been revised to Skills for Study on the Academic Skills website http://library.soton.ac.uk/sash ready for the new academic year.

Skills for Study is an online, modular resource. Each module consists of a series of interactive screens filled with advice and activities to help you to build specific study skills including: referencing and understanding plagiarism, critical thinking, group work, presentations and confidence with numbers. There is a helpful 'Getting ready for Academic Study' module, particularly useful if you are a new student.

You can work through the new resource at your own pace. There is an optional test at the beginning of each module so that you can establish your current ability and a module assessment to measure your progress and help you to plan next steps.

If you prefer, you can go straight to a section to build a specific skill. Each section of a module takes 20-40 minutes to complete. Click on the Skills for Study logo on the Academic Skills website to login: http://library.soton.ac.uk/sash
