Celebrating two awards in the 2017 Nikon Small World Photomicrography Competition

Catarina Moura, IfLS PhD student, has received two awards in the 2017 Nikon Small World Photomicrography competition.
Nikon's Small World Competition is regarded as the leading forum for showcasing the beauty and complexity of life as seen through the light microscope. The competition received more than 2,000 entries from 88 countries around the globe.

Catarina is currently completing her PhD at the Institute for Life Sciences, investigating the potential to apply non-linear imaging techniques to characterise skeletal stem cells as a new means to improve diagnostics in bone/cartilage repair and regeneration strategies.
