Increased circulating resistin levels in early-onset breast cancer patients of normal body mass index correlate with lymph node negative involvement and longer disease free survival

A multi-centre POSH cohort serum proteomics study.

A paper by Dr Spiros GarbisProf Diana Eccles et al. that has been accepted for publication in the journal Breast Cancer Research. 

This is a study on how resistin expression in blood may serve as a surrogate indicator of prognosis in early onset breast cancer (EOBC). This study demonstrates circulating resting as a suitable host marker on the inter-dependence of insulin physiology, sugar/fatty acid metabolism and immune response and its effect on post-treatment survival of patients with EOBC.
