Modelling vaporised hydrogen peroxide efficacy against mono-species biofilms

Published: 17 September 2018

A recent Innovate UK funded study has led to a publication in Nature Scientific Reports on the use of hydrogen peroxide vapour for inactivating multi-drug resistant biofilms.

The work carried out by Fergus Watson, Dr Sandra Wilks and Prof Bill Keevil in Biological Sciences, has shown how a laboratory model can be used for modelling hydrogen peroxide activity against surface biofilms and will aid in the future development of effective decontamination methods.
