The purpose of the course is to explain the MedTech innovation pathway, from identifying unmet needs, through proof-of-concept to adoption by the NHS and other markets, using experience and real-life case studies from the UK’s top experts in the sector.
The Institute for Life Sciences and the NIHR Surgical MedTech Co-operative invite you to join us for an online course, Market Access for MedTech , hosted by our delivery partner, Empact Ventures.
Building on the success of a 2019 pilot held at the University of Southampton Science Park, we will now offer a more in-depth course, delivered online over six weeks.
The course is free of charge, as a service to support the MedTech sector and enhance collaboration with the NIHR MedTech Co-operatives, regional universities and stakeholders like the Academic Health Science Network and NICE. Funding for the course comes from a Higher Education Innovation Funding (HEIF) award to the Institute for Life Sciences.
As a free course, we expect that all attendees will endeavour to provide detailed feedback at the end of the course to help us improve it.
The course will run every Tuesday from 13:00 – 15:00 for six weeks from the 1st June to 6th July 2021.
