The new LifeLab classroom laboratory
The LifeLab laboratory opened at Southampton General Hospital in September 2013. It is a purpose built facility with some state of the art equipment not available in schools. It will enable approximately 5,000 students per year to participate in LifeLab education modules.
The NIHR Nutrition Biomedical Research Centre, the University of Southampton, Garfield Weston Trust Foundation and the University Hospital Southampton NHS Foundation Trust (UHSFT) have all helped to finance the construction.
