Event details
LifeLab would like to invite all students currently in Year 9* and interested in finding out more about becoming a doctor to attend our Summer School.
You will spend a day at Southampton General Hospital where you will gain experience of what it is like to work as a doctor. You will have the chance to learn how to perform clinical skills, visit doctors working in different areas, and talk to medical students about training as a doctor. The following day you will return to the University where you will work in a group to investigate the health of a simulated patient and use medical equipment to 'diagnose’ their condition.
The two-day programme costs £95 per student. If you would like to find out more about the LifeLab Summer School, please contact
Dr Kath Woods-Townsend at:

* We would be happy to consider students in Years 8 or 10 on teacher recommendation
