Our aim is to engage students with science and mirror how real scientists work. This approach enhances rather than replaces the school experience, enabling students to appreciate the relevance of modern science, inspire them with the excitement of research and the possibilities for future careers.

All of our modules are designed so that both the content and style are matched to the target age group and ability, this is predominantly year 9, but we have worked with students throughout KS3-5. Our current module focuses on students being able to describe their own health and consider the factors that could affect their health when they are older. Students explore how scientists measure and find out about health and wellbeing. Example activities include; DNA extraction, taking a “snapshot” of heart health, studying how genetics can affect cholesterol levels.
