There are a range of free on-line courses available for you to engage with and develop skills in specialist subjects, whether it is linked to your college or potential university course or just general interest. Check out the following:

The Open University : Access a huge range of free online courses from Open Learn. Increase confidence, and develop skills needed to enter Higher Education and succeed with learning. Subjects include Health Sports and Psychology, Education and Development, History and the Arts, Languages, Money and Business, Nature and Environment, STEM, Society, Politics and Law, and many more!

EtonX : Courses have been made available free online and offer training in skills important to life and to the workplace. Topics include CV Writing, Creative Problem Solving, Interview Skills, Making an Impact, Resilience, Research Skills, and Writing Skills.

MASSOLIT : Over 3,000 lectures across more than 400 courses. MASSOLIT works with academics from the world’s best universities to produce high-quality, curriculum-linked videos covering a range of subjects, A-Level and International Baccalaureate students.

Youth STEM Scientific Writing : write an article about a STEM project or idea and share it with the world through the Youth STEM platform.
