The module is aimed at an audience without any previous specific knowledge of film history. Nevertheless, it is also suitable for film enthusiasts already possessing some notions and data on film history, as you will acquire new perspectives and information.

The aim is to provide you with a clear overview of how films as an art and cinema as an industry have developed across the years and how the different national cinemas differ from each other. The module will create an appreciation of film art in you if you are new to it, or will enhance and refine such appreciation in you who if you already possess it.
