An Ethics of Belief?

Remarks such as 'I shouldn't watch so much TV', 'You ought to give to charity', and 'It's wrong to lie' are commonplace. They express ethical judgements about actions, the things we do. But remarks such as 'I shouldn't believe what he tells me', 'You ought to accept evolutionary theory', and 'It's wrong to think that Paris is in England' are equally commonplace. They express judgements which concern beliefs, the things we think. This talk will ask the question, is there an ethics of belief?
