We are what we drink ! What does tea tell us about the Chinese or Burgundy about the French? What does drinking means to the people who consume or, equally tellingly, refuse to consume. From Ireland to Hong Kong, Mexico to Germany, drinking plays a key role in a wide range of functions religious, familial, social, even political. This event will give you first hand insights into two very different examples of “Drinking Culture’. It includes expert talks from University academics from University of Southampton and Zhejiang University, an introduction to the world of wine tasting by a renowned expert on Burgundy wines and a tea ceremony performed specialists from the China National Tea Museum. *** THERE ARE STILL PLACES AVAILABLE AND THE DEADLINE TO REGISTER HAS BEEN EXTENDED !!! ***
